Ratings Clack – Ringer and Survivor get the new season started

And with that, the summer TV season is done! Bring on the new fall season. We got our first taste of fall last week as 10 shows had their premieres across CW, NBC, and CBS. There is still a lot to be decided, but fall of 2011 is already off to an interesting start.

Ratings Clack – Glee Project, Awkward, Jersey Shore, and NCIS?

‘The Glee Project’ finale brought a surprise ending. ‘Awkward’ had a surprise jump in the ratings. ‘Jersey Shore’ surprised nobody in dominating the week. And ‘NCIS’ gives us the Gibbsian Bar to use in gauging other cable entries.

Football has started, if you count the preseason. The ratings would suggest that about half of you don’t. Over on cable, ‘The Nine Lives Of Chloe King’ wrapped up its first season. Will there be a second?

Last week we were again reminded that a whole lot of people really like ‘Jersey Shore’. The show was easily the big winner for the week. On the broadcast networks, ‘The Bachelorette’ finale was good news for ABC.

Ratings Clack – Soccer is going to be huge!

With a by-the-numbers week on the broadcast networks, the big stories were on cable, where the Women’s World Cup did very well and the premiere of ‘Breaking Bad’ brought very good numbers for AMC.

Ratings Clack – Baseball, hot dogs, apple pie and Jaycee Dugard?

The big surprise on the networks came from the numbers for ABC’s Jaycee Dugard special, which easily outscored the MLB All-Star Game. Over on cable, another huge helping of summer premieres, including ‘Curb’, ‘Alphas’, ‘Warehouse 13′, ‘Eureka’, and ‘The Closer’.
