And on this very special version of “Little Boxes”: Steve Martin and Kevin Nealon! While Steve Martin played the banjo, Kevin Nealon, AKA Doug Wilson, screamed the lyrics. Awesome!
“Little Boxes” is back for good in this, the final season of ‘Weeds’ … and so is the rotating artist performing the theme. Thanks for the awesome gift!
With ‘Weeds’ there has always been a question of, “Where is this going?” Well, following the season premiere of season eight things are no different … with the original title sequence back you’ve got to wonder if this is all leading back to home.
I loved the gorilla, but what in the world was up with the glasses triplets, who Nancy and Jill encountered when they went to Demetri’s apartment looking for Silas’ weed? The U-Turn tattoo was a great throwback to season three, but those guys are in the Army and got the drop on Heylia?
Not only am I not happy to see Nancy’s sister Jill again, but I also don’t understand why she’s returned. How might Jill coming to New York ruin Nancy’s chances of getting Stevie back? Wouldn’t it make more sense for Silas to send anonymous information to Judge Franklin?
Stevie inadvertently came up last night for the first time in what seems like ages … is Nancy ever going to get back to fighting for him, or at least attempting to speak to him over video chat? What happened to her “all for my son” attitude?
I continue to lament the days of “Little Boxes,” but I can always appreciate a good title sequence when I see one. Unfortunately I don’t recall ‘Weeds’ doing a good one that didn’t involve the show’s old theme song … until last night. How great were Doug’s flash cards?
