News, episode reviews and commentary for CBS's The Good Wife

Latest episode clacks for this show:

The Good Wife – bin Laden semen

How sad a societal comment that there exists such a thing as a “rape app.” Still, I have to question how effective it could possibly be … GPS locaters are only good up to a general vicinity. How does that help if you’re in some random apartment in a twenty-story building?

Ratings Clack – Fairy tales are the new vampires

ABC and NBC both had good premieres for their fairy tale dramas last week. ‘Once Upon A Time’ and ‘Grimm’ were both well received by audiences. On cable, ‘Beavis & Butt-Head’ returned to MTV, but the big story again came from ‘Walking Dead’.

The Good Wife herself is floundering

I was happy to see that Imani Morehouse (Nicole Beharie) wasn’t one-and-done in the State’s Attorney’s office, but she barely got the chance to do anything this week. She and Cary are great together … give us more!

Ratings Clack – Holy gutted zombie, Batman. Walking Dead is huge!

The big story last week was the triumphant return of ‘The Walking Dead’ on cable, complete with numbers that the vast majority of network shows couldn’t match.

The Good Wife – Lockhart/Gardner goes pro bono

How wildly awkward was that scene where Celeste was baiting Will and Peter? I wonder if the point was more related to Will and Celeste’s story, or if it’s meant to push Peter at some point to investigate just what Will’s been up to lately. Could go either way.

Ratings Clack – Charlie’s Angels, we hardly knew ye

‘Charlie’s Angels’ became the latest show to be given a pink slip last week. In happier news, Tim Allen’s new sitcom, ‘Last Man Standing’ got off to a very good start. On cable, Shawn and Gus kicked off season six of ‘Psych’ on USA.

The Good Wife – Stay away from Heather Farms’ cheese

Tell me, ladies: is Will Gardner really as irresistible as ‘The Good Wife’ would have us believe? Nary a female guest star can appear on the show without making a play for him. Reality or fiction?
