Talk about a let down this week from most performers! Four acts got Xed and most of the others were just okay. Thankfully, a few performers did rock the house and one act even got two — yes two! — standing ovations! The semi-finals continued with the second group of twelve performers taking the stage.
The big surprise on the networks came from the numbers for ABC’s Jaycee Dugard special, which easily outscored the MLB All-Star Game. Over on cable, another huge helping of summer premieres, including ‘Curb’, ‘Alphas’, ‘Warehouse 13′, ‘Eureka’, and ‘The Closer’.
Last night, the power shifted from the judges to America. My four picks to go to the next round after seeing last night’s live show were: Dezmond Meeks, Fearless Flores Family, Anna Graceman, and Sandou Trio Russian Bar. Not surprisingly, I didn’t get 4/4.
America: it’s time to vote! Twelve of the Top 48 acts performed in the hope to get a spot in the next round. Not only did these twelve acts amaze the crowd, but some made it their mission to annoy Piers! Which acts dared to attack Piers? Read on!
Vegas Week continued with the Day 2 performers going on stage for their second chance. This allowed the judges to select the final acts that would compete in the Top 48. Some fantastic acts made it to the next round, but so did one of the worst acts this season!
It’s now time to select the Top 48 from all the performers that were sent to Vegas. This season, the judges must first decide who’ll perform on Day 1 of Vegas Week, which acts will be on standby to potentially perform on Day 2, and which acts will be sent back home without performing in Vegas. But there’s a twist to this selection!
It’s the last day of ‘America’s Got Talent’ audition and many contestants hope to get a ticket to Vegas. The final acts delivered in sublime, wacky, crazy, and plain stupid (“What’s the opposite of an X?”)
