‘Suits’ ended its first season Thursday, and showed its true colors: this might be an addictive summer series with fun banter and good fashion sense, but it’s a lot more than just a pretty face.
Season two of ‘The Voice’ is still five months away. That’s plenty of time for this intrepid reporter (and unofficial ninth member of Team Adam) to join thousands of hopeful performers in Los Angeles and live to tell about it. Here’s my audition-day diary.
Ladies and gentlemen, Harvey Specter. This week’s ‘Suits’ cracked its best character, but it also reached a new high by showing us the pieces, and how Gabriel Macht could be the best actor on USA since Tony Shalhoub.
‘Doctor Who’ returns to BBC America, and wrapped up in its weird, bus-stealing, Hitler-in-a-cupboard hijinks is the amusing fact that killing the show’s titular hero apparently doesn’t do much to ruin your popularity. It does, however, make me think Amy shouldn’t have any more kids.
We’ve heard “characters welcome” a billion times, but to see said catchphrase in action, one needs only to watch this week’s ‘Suits.’ It has three great lead actors deftly fleshing out watchable characters … plus, someone gets hit in the groin. What else could you want?
