Bio: While CliqueClack is my first foray into the blogosphere, it’s just one stop along my long journey in writing. With my first book of short stories bounded via copy machine when I was still a lad, my evolution along the trajectory of writing has far exceeded that of my drawing; that first book was fronted by a rather pedestrian hand drawing of “Leatherhead”, of TMNT fame, and my ability hasn’t grown beyond rudimentary since those days. But the baby’s cute!

Reflections on the first half of a television season

Is the current television season halfway through, or does it still have halfway to go? That’s my attempt at applying the glass half full/half empty concept to a television season. But with most shows on hiatus, I figured this was a good time to look back at the half-season that was.

Twenty-five favorite moments from 1,000 posts at CliqueClack

Closing in on three years at CliqueClack — not till January 5th! — I’ve reached a different kind of milestone. And in addition to being quite a lot of words, it’s also quite a many memories. Join me in reflecting on some of my favorite moments from my past 1,000 posts.

What’s this show called … Storage Wars?

Each week I review a show that’s new to me. Good idea, or punishment (mine or yours)? You be the judge. But either way, if I had to watch it, the least you can do is read what I have to say….

Rules of Engagement – The one where Timmy sexually harasses Russell

My hope for Russell, that his marriage to Liz would make him more serious — if not in general than at least about relationships — doesn’t appear to be coming true just yet. How long can he continue to chase everything in a skirt? Isn’t David Spade closing in on fifty (hint: he is)?

NCIS – “My water just broke” … cliche or comical?

McGee and Tony’s cookie interrogation of the Russian they caught following Emma was hilarious. Of course it was completely absurd, but it was still lots of fun. And how long has it been since we last saw McGee interrogating a suspect?

Law & Order: SVU – How goes the new team?

After twelve seasons of Benson and Stabler, ‘Law & Order: SVU’ began this season facing a daunting task: mix two new players into a cast that’s been together forever, but that is missing the huge shadow of Christopher Meloni. How’s it been doing so far?

The Good Wife – Forget about the kids already!

I don’t know if it’s an indication of good acting or bad, but Alicia and Peter have absolutely no chemistry anymore. The limited time we saw them collaborating for the sake of their kids last night, it was like watching two total strangers trying to discuss something personal.
