Psych – Forghorn needs Leghorn

William Shatner makes his way to the world of 'Psych.' The good news is there's a possibility this won't be the last we'll see of him.

- Season 6, Episode 7 - "In For a Penny..."

Psych‘s been great with bringing in icons of pop culture as guest stars, and William Shatner was one hell of a great nab. To boot, they gave Shatner a role that could quite possibly turn into a semi-recurring one, as Jules’ dad. It was a great role for him, and the writers gave his character some great lines and a personality that was perfect for what we’d expect from him in a comedic role.

The only downside to the episode — at least via the screener I was able to watch ahead of time — was that there were no outtakes at the end of the episode. I was really looking forward to seeing some with Shatner involved.

Here are some of the great quotes from the episode. Did I catch your favorite?

“So Burton, how long have you been a single man?” – Frank O’Hara
“How do you know I’m single?” – Gus
“How much time do you have?” – Frank O’Hara

“I’ll have you know that I’ve been referred to as the modern-day Robin Hood by many of my colleagues.” – Frank
“Really. You rob from the rich and give to the poor?” – Shawn
“I con from the rich and give to myself when I’m at my poorest.” – Frank

“You honestly think Gus and I were born on the Fourth of July?” – Shawn
“Or yesterday?” – Gus
“Or to run?” – Shawn

“Come on. Forghorn needs Leghorn.” – Shawn
“They’re the same bird, Shawn.” – Gus
“Exactly.” – Shawn

“I’m proud of you Shawn.” – Frank
“What about me? I new the exact year of the coin!” – Gus
“Spoken like a man with no girlfriend.” – Frank

“You know what this is like? It’s like the end of The Town. Which makes me the guy from Mad Men, Gus is Afleck and Jules is Mini Driver.” – Shawn
“You just mashed up The Town with Good Will Hunting.” – Gus
“Hey. You’a wicked smaht, Gustah.” – Shawn
“Taaawwhh. Thanks, fella. That was kind ‘a ya to say.” – Gus
“What the hell was that?” – Shawn
“That was dead-on Southie.” – Gus
“That was like Mr. Ed if he was Irish.” – Shawn

The broadcast outtake was a disappointment, too. It was just Roday and Hill dancing. With an episode with a chest bump with The Shat, I expected more.
