Well, after 10 evictions, 29 competitions and 75 days in the Big Brother house, we have a winner. And was anyone surprised by the outcome?
Let’s flash back to the final HoH competitions. Anyone who thought Rachel wouldn’t win the first competition has not been watching the show. Rachel can win any endurance competition, hands down. Adam again proved his uselessness by not being able to stand up for longer than 30 minutes. Knowing you have to stand and hold on to something for a long period of time, why would you put your hands over your head?!? Porsche lasted for 46 minutes, but she had to give in more due to the spinning (amen to that) than the fatigue of standing up.
The second part of the comp seemed to go on much longer than it actually did as Porsche and Adam had to dive underwater and drag little buttons through a maze to place each House Guest into their proper HoH order. I never thought Adam stood a chance, especially after seeing how fatigued Porsche was, and then he went and made a stupid move … he threw his goggles out into the yard and then discovered he couldn’t see anything without them. The dope, who was actually doing well, lost an incredible amount of time, finishing at 6:03. Porsche, with goggles, completed the maze in 3:50. The final comp between Rachel and Porsche was tight, but Rachel managed to guess only two answer out of five questions to Porsche’s zero and then she sent Adam packing.
The rest of the show was taken up by the jury arguing the merits of the remaining three House Guests, and Daniele was not shy about showing her disdain for Rachel. Kalia made a brilliant point about Porsche turning it on when she needed to, and also reminded everyone (including me) that Porsche had a Golden Key that kept her from competing for several weeks. So, it’s really hard to call her a floater since that restriction was placed on her. I did enjoy Daniele’s new term which she applied to Adam instead of a floater — a piggy-backer. He just went back and forth to whoever was in power and did what he was told.
But with a jury stacked mostly in her favor, the winner of Big Brother 13 was the girl who was nominated the most times and also won the most competitions — Rachel, by a surprising vote of 4 – 3. I don’t know what was more surprising — that Shelly voted for her or that Adam voted for Porsche. Really, Adam? His “take me to the final two” speech to Rachel was the figurative equivalent of pushing Porsche in front of that oncoming bus and then he voted for her? Sour grapes from being sent out the door by Rachel, maybe? Whatever it was, it was yet another worthless move on his part. I wonder if CBS is now going to produce the Brenchel wedding like they did for Rob and Amber? And Jeff won Fan Favorite? Really?!?
Alas, another season of Big Brother has come to an end. There have been ups, downs and some stupid game play (I’m really disappointed Julie didn’t ask Lawon about his insistence on being voted out so he could come back with special powers — the only special power he got was invisibility), but that’s why we tune in. The show was officially renewed on the day of the finale, so we’ll be back here next summer with — hopefully — an all-new group of House Guests that we’re surely going to love to hate. See you next summer!
Jeff is a chump/bully/jackass. I guess a smile and some witty banter gets you money in the bank.

A good edit can make any idiot come off as a charmer. I guess the same Jeff fans who threatened Shelly decided that was the best way to get back at her.

A note for comments – you can call me an idiot because I know that Jeff isn’t the nice guy he’s made out to be on TV, however, vulgar and obscene language will not be tolerated and those comments will be removed.
Jeff was a bully at certain times during the game that is true. But ge tried to play a game with his alliance. And remember, the show does edit to show the most controversy. He was also not the only one to cause controversy and he was in no way responsible for the incredibly stupid fans who issued any type of threat to Shelly and her family.
