Is the rise of Rookie Blue’s Peckstein a good thing?

As much as I like Dov Epstein and Gail Peck, I'm not sure about the idea of Peckstein. What do you think? Vote below!

- Season 2, Episode 9 - "Brotherhood"

What has been slowing building all season long on Rookie Blue has finally come to a head. While high on pain pills, Dov Epstein pledged his love to Gail Peck. Now that it is finally here, I’m not entirely sure what to think about it. Is a relationship between the two a good idea? I’m not sure, so let’s take a look at the Pros and Cons.

Pros

  • Great foils for each other
  • Funny together
  • Work style meshes well
  • Both incredibly driven

Cons

  • Chris Diaz

Looks like the Nays have it. Diaz is just too damn nice for either his girlfriend or his best friend to so royally screw him over.

Notes & Quotes

  • “Oh why, because you get to see your new girlfriend Betty Bombsquad?” – Peck
“You know, there’s a lot you could learn from Sue. OK, she’s fearless, courageous, hilarious, doesn’t have a clove of garlic where her heart should be.” – Epstein
  • No overt Luke & Andy drama this week!
  • Diaz’s storyline is just representative of his being too nice
  • There’s just something about Williams and Best that makes me smile

What do you think about Dov and Gail together?

I´m in the fence with these two, i think i like more the idea of them hating each other… :)

Plus, poor Diaz!!!

Epstein’s words to Peck, professing his love are the very words that thrill the heart of any female, from seven to seventy. One can understand Peck’s budding interest in this young man, he has now become part of her destiny. The writers are going to let her stew about him for awhile, uncertain how to proceed, and before the third season ends, Epstein and Peck will be a serious couple, unconcerned about the opinions of others. It’s too bad about Diaz, for he is a nice guy, but he was unforgiving to Peck, and that was a serious mistake. She and Epstein are moving on together, and though he may look like a kid, he is a man, and ready for this woman. Good luck you two, and personally, I can’t wait to see it happen.
