It’s that time of the month on Big Brother

Crazy comes to town as the House Guests are starting to reach their breaking points and wonder if it's all worth $500,000.

- Season 13, Episode 15

Jeff wins the Power of Veto

There are a lot of guys out there who probably wouldn’t mind being locked in a house for three months with a bunch of women, but as we saw on this episode of Big Brother, you really have to be careful what you wish for.

I’ve heard it said that when women spend a lot of time together, they kind of get in sync with each other (if you know what I mean), and it seems like spending just over a month together has put almost all of them on the same cycle … of crazy. Seriously, I really don’t think this has anything to do with their ladyparts, but we are at that point in the season when people really start to crack.

Rachel’s been a nutjob since … well, since the first time she played Big Brother so it’s no surprise that she’s been an emotional wreck since (a) losing Brendon, (b) being nominated and (c) losing the veto competition. But did they change the rules along the way and now are executing the evicted house guests? You’d think the way she carried on about Brendon’s eviction that Daniele pulled the lever that released the guillotine blade and took his head off, because Rachel is nevereverever going to see him again. At least until Thursday’s live show when he has a chance to come back into the house. Until that time, he’s dead apparently.

Poor Jordan has had to step up to be Rachel’s caretaker since Brendon’s untimely death … I mean eviction, and the crazy has rubbed off on her a bit and Shelly as well, who had a breakdown when Jeff simply asked if she was with them 100%. Of course, Jeff hasn’t been immune to the crazy because he’s been totally irrational with Kalia (who has also succumbed to her own bouts of hysterical crying, but at least she’s holding it together). He became a total bully with her when he found out she wanted to put him on the block, and he never once wanted to hear her reasoning for doing so. I’m sure it seemed like a good idea on paper and it made sense since she had no way of knowing who would play for the veto, but he wouldn’t entertain the thought and completely lost his cool with her. Could Kalia have approached the subject in a more subtle way in the first place? She could have, but Jeff’s behavior was totally uncalled for. Like Dani said to Porsche, this is the time when you really start to see everyone’s true colors come out and we certainly are seeing Jeff in a different light these days (although I have to give him props for never losing his cool with Jordan).

Adam got to celebrate his 40th birthday in the house, and now he’s gone and totally screwed up the editing process for the show. A lot of what we see doesn’t necessarily happen within the time frame of when the episodes air, so if they have any plans of putting together some events that took place before his birthday, expect to see that beard come and go a few times (earlier in the season, Keith mysteriously appeared in the backyard after he’d been evicted!). Adam also nearly got to celebrate his birthday with a Power of Veto win, but Jeff narrowly beat him in a physical task that required each player to roll a ball up a ramp and catch it on the other side — 300 times! Jeff is safely off the block, and Kalia stuck to her word that he and Jordan weren’t her targets, so she replaced him with …

Lawon! Yes, a bit of the crazy has rubbed off on Lawon this week as he actually volunteered himself not to be a nominee, but to be evicted! Lawon, who so far has done nothing but make snappy comments in the Diary Room, believes that he can beat Keith, Cassi, Dominic and Brendon in the twist competition this week and return to the house with amazing super powers. Lawon, you’ve been a hoot and a half, but this could go down in Big Brother history as one of the dumbest moves ever (even worse than Marcellus not using the veto to save himself way back in season three). The biggest question now is: did Kalia do the right thing? If Rachel is indeed safe now, will she, Jeff and Jordan (and possibly Brendon) take into consideration all of her moves to get back in their good graces or are they just playing her for a fool and planning to put her and Daniele on the block the first chance they get? I’m thinking the players in competition to come back in the house will also become the new HoH to guarantee their safety for a week, so what happens if any of the others come back? It doesn’t seem like anyone is planning for any of those possibilities, and a win for anyone else besides Lawon could have a negative effect on the remaining vets and their alliances.
