Big Brother – Adam is totally elf-ed up

If you don’t subscribe to the live, 24-hour Big Brother feeds, then you only just learned tonight that Daniele won the HoH competition. Of course, with that came the usual whining and general poor sportsmanship of Rachel and Brendon. Remember way back when — okay, less than a month ago — when the show started and Rachel said she was going to play a non-emotional game? I don’t know about you, but it seems to me that every time Rachel or Brendon loses a competition, anytime someone does something strategic to get themselves ahead in the game, Rachel takes it personally.

Of course, after the win the veterans had to meet with Daniele to see where they stood with her. After assurances that neither Jeff or Jordan were targets, they both played it smart and told her not to tell them what her plans were. Plausible deniability is a wonderful thing! We’ll see how genuine Daniele is being with them come the veto ceremony, because after a not so warm and fuzzy chat with Brendon and Rachel, those two promptly ended up on the block with Dani swearing that if either of them comes off (and Brendon says he will take Rachel off the block if he wins), the other one will still go home.

Other notable moments from the evening –

• Adam was the first to fall during the HoH comp. He gets to wear an elf suit for the next week.
• Lawon, Brendon and Jordan drew the Have Not cards after falling. They get to enjoy seaweed and sardines in addition to slop (my vote was for black licorice and bleu cheese).
• Jeff won $10000 by picking the right snowball after he fell.
• Where did Jeff’s pink sweat jacket disappear to during the comp?
• No one seemed particularly thrilled to see Dani’s HoH room; Jeff compared it to having dinner with your executioner.
• Lawon “came out,” and Jordan admired his sincerity, saying she would have no problem with her own child telling her he was gay (just don’t let Jeff find out).
• Rachel had a spectacular wipeout while running around the yard (too bad Jeff blocked her from falling into the hot tub).
• “This boy right here, Lawon, I ain’t never skied before, so you know I’m like, “Uh oh.” — Lawon when he saw the HoH competition set.
• “My pain is not in my armpits like the other couple girls. It’s more in my shoulder right here [points to elbow].” — Porsche
• “When Rachel’s not HoH, it’s the victim pity party of the year.” — Kalia
• “I had a bad experience with fish in kindergarten … it scarred me for life.” — Jordan, when she saw the sardines
