Big Brother – Yes, Rachel, America hates you

A night of drama, a hilarious audio goof, a not surprising elimination and the worst HoH competition outcome imaginable mark another live episode of 'Big Brother.'

- Season 13, Episode 7 - "Eviction; HoH Competition"

Rachel wins her second HoH competition

I really can’t believe I have to go through another summer of Big Brother with Rachel and Brendon. As much as I dislike Jeff now, Rachel had it right when she said America hates her. She is so annoying, so whiney, so damn manipulative and she knows she has Brendon wrapped around her little pinky. For as controlling as he can be, he has nothing on her.

Before all of the votes and HoH competition, we were given a look at Cassi trying to find out what Rachel had against her. The answer was nothing really, at least nothing concrete that Rachel could name. Instead, she went the “I heard from someone else” route and then had the nerve to call Cassi a terrible game player and mean person. Seriously? I haven’t seen Cassi do one mean thing to anyone in the house. She’s playing a game to win, but you can’t call her mean. Props to Cassi for getting fed up with Rachel’s nonsense and telling her she’s just an ugly person on the inside.

That flipped Rachel’s switch, so she marched herself up to the HoH room to cry to Jordan that Cassi said she was mean. Surprisingly, Jordan came right out and said that the way Rachel talks to people can come off as bitchy, and that if she didn’t watch her mouth she was going to put a target on all of the veterans. The irony of the entire situation is that Rachel was whining about Cassi playing the victim (and let’s not forget Rachel’s tantrum after Jeff called her out during the Veto competition).

Then we saw Brendon confront Cassi and speak to her like she was a three-year-old, trying to intimidate her like a big bully. It just shows that Rachel knows how to fight her battles … she plays the victim, even though she is usually the instigator, and the Brendon puts on his shining armor to defend her. What a couple of loons. They truly deserve each other, but somehow I don’t think it’s all going to end well for them. I’m actually hoping to see them completely implode on their inevitable Amazing Race appearance.

The night’s two main events were a bit of an anti-climax with Cassi being shown the door with a 9-0 vote, Shelly gets a Golden Key, we got to hear Rachel peeing because someone left her mic open, and then she won the freaking HoH competition again! I so wanted Dominic to win so he would put them on the block, but I’m pretty certain he and Adam will find themselves nominated again in a couple of days.

Will Rachel’s reign of terror ever end?

As soon as I saw Rachel walk into the house I turned it off and will not watch this season at all WTF did they have her back for?

That’s the same reaction I had the second time Jesse was in the house. And now that they got rid of my favorite, Cassi, I have no one to root for. Although Lawon is a character!
