Big Brother – Rachel waters the plants … with her tears!

Alliances have begun to crumble and Rachel is on a power trip. It's just another day in the 'Big Brother' house.

- Season 13, Episode 6 - "The veto competition takes place"

Rachel hides in the bushes to cry

How fast the alliances have crumbled. At least in private. But everyone in the Big Brother house is putting on a happy face while they are mingling, however Jordan’s decision to nominate Dominic and Adam this week brought turmoil to the veteran alliance and sent Rachel spiraling into a full breakdown after the PoV challenge.

I’m still not sure what’s behind Rachel and Daniele wanting to get rid of Cassi. She hasn’t really done anything to them, at least not to their faces, and anything they may have heard was heresay from Porsche (and she was practically invisible on this episode). Jordan, on the other hand, has shown that she’s not as clueless as everyone thinks she is by going after Dom who is the leader of The Regulators alliance. I think she hit the nail on the head when she told Cassi that the other girls were threatened by Cassi not because of her game play or intelligence, but because she’s pretty.

But after two weeks in the house, Rachel has already gone power mad after winning the first HoH and the next two competitions. Now, she can’t be happy (and neither can anyone else) unless she wins. During the PoV, Jordan fell off of the balance beam and was going to try again but had to go on slop for two weeks. Jeff ordered her not to do that … more for his own sanity than for her dietary needs, but she really had no chance to win so why go on slop for no reason. This set Rachel off, who had to make snide comments for the rest of the comp, insinuating that Jordan wasn’t trying and didn’t care. Then Rachel fell, took the slop to prove she’s a competitor, then immediately fell again and was knocked out of the comp so she’s now on slop … for no good reason (and promptly started shoveling jelly beans and jerky into her face). Bravo to Jeff for calling her out for pulling that crap in front of everyone else, and to Brendon for actually agreeing with Jeff! The hilarious result was Rachel having a tantrum and storming off to the bushes to have a cry! Of course, Brendon had to talk her down and forced her to apologize, but Jeff wasn’t buying it and actually considered putting Rachel and Brendon on the block (which might have helped Brendon’s game by not having to coddle Rachel 24/7).

And what was the tantrum and the remarks for in the first place?  Dominic was clearly in the lead, and Rachel wanted to win so she could take him and Adam off the block. So, it all played out how she, Brendon and Daniele wanted … it just wasn’t Rachel as the one who did the winning and taking the nominees of the block. I’d say she actually got lucky by not having to do that because a stupid move like that against your own alliance — who also happens to be HoH — would have put a huge target on her and Brendon. Meanwhile, no one seems to have a clue that Dani is really working Dom, telling her all of the vets’ plans, and building herself a new alliance in the process. I wonder how long it will be before he tells her about The Regulators and how that will play into his vote?

It was no surprise that Dom used the veto to save himself (and Adam), so Cassi and Shelly were the replacement nominees … meaning Rachel got what she wanted and Cassi will probably be out the door on Thursday with only two of her alliance members eligible to vote.  But will Daniele convince Dominic to vote out one of his alliance members?
