Well, well, well. What a difference an eviction makes in the Big Brother house. The once mighty newbie alliance has pretty much crumbled after two of their own joined the vets Thursday night and voted out Keith. Dominic is paranoid, Cassi feels betrayed and Lawon just plain has the vapors over this shocking turn of events. It’s always fun to see these people crumble after coming in with big ideas, and even more fun to see how the little hamsters scurry around to point fingers and cut deals in acts of desperation.
Dominic and Adam both think the other turned, and it’s almost as funny as when Keith and Porsche tried to pretend they hadn’t thrown the Veto competition last week (and I’m sure Keith will be rethinking that plan for some time to come). While no one in the newbie group would ever admit to casting the votes for Keith, Dom and Adam turned on each other immediately and ran to Jordan to make a deal to keep themselves safe. Meanwhile, Kalia and Shelly are making sure no one suspects them … of course with two votes, the group must suspect someone other than Adam.
We got a little drama this week with the Haves and Have Nots competition as each pair was zipped into an ant suit and forced to shuffle, crawl and roll across a giant picnic blanket to retrieve food scraps with the winner choosing two teams of the losing three to be Have Nots. Once again, Rachel and Brendon won and picked — no surprise — Adam & Dominic and Shelly & Cassi. I think they let Kalia & Lawon slide because Kalia started freaking out at the end of the comp thinking that her shoulder had been dislocated by Lawon dropping down on her time after time (it did seem to be one of the more sadistic challenges cooked up by the producers). In a rare, behind-the-scenes moment we actually got to see medics enter the yard and attend to Kalia, who was more frightened than injured. That’s something you don’t even get to see on the “live” feeds because, despite Julie Chen’s promise of watching Big Brother whenever you want, they always black out the competitions (which doesn’t stop the watchers from figuring out things like who won the Power of Veto this week [wink, wink]).
In the end, we saw Adam, Dominic and Cassi all go to the HoH room and plead their cases and their allegiance to Jordan (and Jeff), but despite what the CliqueClack readers hoped for — Brendon and Rachel with 47% of the vote for the nomination — Jordan went with her gut and selected Adam and Dominic (against her alliance’s suggestions of Cassi and Shelly) because she believes Dominic is not to be trusted. With the PoV looming, Jordan may have to do some quick thinking and backtracking on those nominations should either of the guys win the PoV.
Don’t forget to visit the Big Brother website to play a game of 20 Questions that apparently will be used for this week’s HoH competition! And in the meantime, take our poll below and cast your vote for who should be evicted this week.
