To help kick off your holiday DVD shopping, we're giving away a copy of Starz's 'The Pillars of the Earth' on DVD to one random commenter to this post!

CliqueClacker Bob Degon did a bang-up job reviewing this mini-series when it originally aired on Starz. If you missed the episodes, the DVD comes out in stores on November 23, a week from today. However, if you’re feeling lucky … or cheap … we may be able to cover you. We’re giving away one copy of Starz’s The Pillars of the Earth mini-series to one random commenter to this post!

To enter, simply leave a comment below with why you’d like to own this DVD set. Entries to this giveaway must be made by Tuesday, November 23rd at 5 PM ET. I would absolutely be thrilled to win this set. When I first read the book that I borrowed from a friend, I had no idea I’d spend the next 3 days spending all of my free time reading an amazingly engaging story full of rich characters.

Upon completion of the book, I went out and bought the follow up, At World End and devoured that just as quickly. I couldn’t recommend it enough to my friends and family.

I found out about the miniseries a few short months later when I was looking up a particular actor on IMDB and saw the Pillars of the Earth under his name. As soon as I was able to, I set up my DVR to record it each week knowing that it was going to be phenomenal.

And they didn’t let me down, despite having to condense so much material in just a few hours, and every week I relived the book I loved so much brought to life by my TV screen. I’m hoping they do the same for At World End.

I would love this DVD set. I didn’t have the time to sit down and watch it when it first came on Starz, and my Tivo has since died :( I loved the book, and would be interested to see how well it translated on screen.

I haven’t gotten to see this series because I don’t get the channel but I really want to because it looks awesome

I started watching and switched cable companies. Stars is no longer part of my service. It would be awesome to pick up where I left off

I completely missed this one on tv, so I would love to have it! Plus, a win would go a long way towards impressing my 5 year old, even if she can’t watch it. At her school carnival, we both entered just about everything and I didn’t win anything, and she won four different raffles. She’s been holding it over my head for weeks!!!!!
