In horror movies, there’s not a whole lot that’s creepier than a room full of little girls, humming a song as they play with their dollies, their backs turned toward you. You just know nothing good is coming of it. Honestly, in this episode, I thought for sure all the kids were going to have the same face as Samantha; though, I have no idea what that would have meant other than possibly supporting another angle to the EBEs I’ll get into in a bit. Instead, we got creepy kids with old faces. What in the hell?
I wonder if the old faced kids has to do with the EBEs and their lack of aging. Are the kids used as a way of staving off the aging process, by instead passing it onto these kids? Yeah, I know, that seems really, really odd; but do you have another theory?
As I said earlier, there’s another angle to the EBEs that I’m wondering about now, and that’s genetic alteration. That the EBEs are not only from the future, but they are genetically altered artificially in order to keep their appearances, for one thing. Two scenes in this episode got me thinking about that: the genetically-modified orchid, made to bloom every month rather than every two years, and the creepy old face kids. I felt the mention of the orchid was not simply placed there for the hell of it, and it’s to point us in the direction of what’s going on here.
Other than that, the episode was just OK. I will say that Sterling needs a new line of work, because he’s just not at all good at reading people. That’s pretty much what at least half this episode was about, showing us how he let his own wife pull the wool over his eyes. Then there was Lee, and then … THEN .. right there in the elevator is Thomas. If that wasn’t a bit ol’ slap in his face.

Ritter saying he could crack the code was on par with little Susie in Jurassic Park saying she’s a hacker and knows the Unix program. It just ruins my mood.
Ritter’s terrible acting girlfriend always seems to have perfectly coiffed hair. That’s about the best thing I can say about her.
There’s a terrible lack of likable characters in this show, and since there is not enough of the sci-fi elements that I enjoy, I’m getting really bored. I’m pretty close to calling it quits.
What is going on in Sci-Fi people? Can’t anyone build a spaceship anymore?
She acts so terribly that I was beginning to think she was a bad guy — she always has a ridiculous smirk on her face, no matter what the scene. Thought she was hiding something … but I think she’s just advertising the fact that she can’t act!
With her fake tears for her sister, I thought she might be a baddie too, but I agree it’s more likely she can’t act.
Ritter being a primo computer nerd has been well established at this point (Scholarship to MIT, etc).
The show’s not great, but I still think is better than half the dreck that is on TV this season, so I’ll be sticking around.
If I liked him, it would not bother me, I’m sure.
Oh, and you’re correct, there’s not much else on either. What a bummer.
Oh UGH. I watched, again, against my better judgement. The last scene was the only one worth watching. This should be a webisode series. 90% filler is just pathetic.
There are three groups on the show…
The government.
The “aliens”.
And the mystery group who tried to kill the president.
I think the mystery group doesn’t want the aliens to leave so they can do tests on them to try to get mankind to stop aging, but so far it hasn’t worked.
I think you’re on to something, but I’d amend with this. Whatever brought the “aliens” here in the first place as something to do with the mysterious group. I still think they’re from the future and came back to prevent some tipping point-esque act of the group that is the beginning of the end for planet Earth.
I thought about that but it doesn’t really fit. The “aliens” gave us nuclear weapons and power and such to get back home. So if they were from the future and came back then shouldn’t they know our history? They acted surprised by how stupid we were. lol

Oreo: I don’t think they made it sound like people of the ’40s were stupid. In fact, it seemed Thomas simply knew it was too early to have found nuclear power, so he went ahead and helped move things along.
But Keith if Thomas was from the future then wouldn’t he screw up the time line of the history of mankind and thus destroy the timeline he is from?

i cant help it i’m hooked even tho sean’s girlfriend is yep terrible actor reminds me of my school play acting days but as i say i’m hooked line and sinker to this series
I am so glad that others are shocked by Ritter’s girlfriends acting (she’s so bad I can’t even remember her name!). She has only one expression, one set of clothes and perfect hair. It’s impossible to feel any emotion for her character’s plight!
Am desperatley seeking a Lost replacement. Please let this be it – but some more gritty characters (a ‘Sawyer’ would be good) to love and hate purlease!
I think this show is going to be one of those like Stark Trek and everyone will be wishing it stuck around. Then they will be trying to make a next generation. I ‘m hooked. I like the story line forget the actors the writing is great. I just got to know what it is all about.
