If you’re a big fan of the Discovery brand of television, Merry (late) Christmas. There are a bunch of Discovery shows available this week, including American Chopper, Dirty Jobs, Man Vs. Wild, Medicine Men Go Wild, and Mythbusters, There are even a few shows not from Discovery, that feel like Discovery shows, like Ghost Hunters, Lock ‘N Load, and The Universe. If you prefer scripted fare for your DVD purchases, this week offers Adam-12, FlashForward, Night Court, and my pick of the week, G.B.H. The British mini-series stars Michael Palin (Monty Python) and Robert Lindsay (My Family) in “a classic tale of power and corruption.”
