Have our Greek dreams really come true?

greek season 3 episode 5 calendar shoot

Yes, the picture’s from last week, but I’m recalling it as the symbolic beginning of Jordan’s interest in photography, a major theme this week … or I figured it might be appreciated by you all!

So, as excited as I am, I fear spoiling anyone who may not have yet watched last night’s episode of Greek. Therefore, I will save the obvious discussion (Oreo, you know what I’m talking about) for later.

In the meantime, there was plenty going on last night with our favorite college drunks. For starters, it looks like Dale might be missing for a bit — his parents brought him home after learning of his newfound atheism. I’ll be honest with you: there remains the slightest of chances that his return will be worth the wait. Can you imagine a newly re-indoctrinated Dale? If the writers play their cards right….

There was also a lot of Cappie and Evan this week, something that is quickly establishing itself as great in my book. And I think that — even as rapidly as it’s being revealed — Casey figuring out that the two are friends again is being done well, and will be a great thing for the show. And I believe it will happen at the same time as something evolves between either her and Evan, or her and Cappie (my choice). Nothing like rekindling the flames of hatred as you’re rekindling the fires of friendship.

Maybe it’s still coming, but I don’t see the “Cappie and Evan fight over another girl (Olivia Munn)” thing happening at all. In fact, Evan couldn’t be more disinterested in Lana. Which is okay, but I just thought that the show would be better off having Cappie and Evan square off over a different girl, instead of a complete reenactment of their freshmen year. It’ll still be awesome, don’t get me wrong … Greek just marketed it as something else.

Alright, enough stalling: is Jordan really done?!? How great is that? Sure, I’m not getting the murder/suicide points, but I’m so excited about her leaving that I’m (mostly) okay with that! She’s such a dud, and she’s been bringing Rusty way down with her. Did he really spend this entire episode trying to get Jordan into the photography program? As in, no KT time? That’s crazy, and it’s time he, and we, will never get back. Good riddance!

Although, I have to admit that their role-playing — Stephen Hawking and the naughty scientist girl — was as hilarious as it was disturbing and offensive. Can you imagine if Calvin had had to sit through an entire session of that fantasy game? Talk about PTSD.

ZBZ spent the episode dunking for cash at their Founders Weekend. A word of advice for Ashleigh: if you’d merely also spilled the fact that Rebecca is a serial floozy (remember Evan?), you’d have won for sure, no matter if people judged you for your hypocrisy. I’m disappointed that she’s now talking to Rebecca.

For our good friend Ivey, Mr. Kappa Alpha who may still be drunk from college, some quotable quotes:

“It’s sisters before misters, dear.” – ZBZ alumnus
“Is that like bros before hoes?” – Rebecca

“Friends are fun. I think Plato said that … or Elmo.” – Cappie

And who thought Elmo would get multiple shout-outs on Greek? I’d have guessed that Cappie was more of a Bert and Ernie kind of guy, but it’s still good.

It’s official (at least for me, lol) : Scott Foster, Jake McDorman and Spencer Grammer are the best actors and their characters as Cappie,Evan and Casey are the bright spot on this show.
Why not changing the teen soap rules for once and making a “menage a trois” with these three little kids ( i can dream no ?)
p.s: i missed Dale though.

I’m not sure how that would go over on American TV, especially not on a channel called ABC Family. ;)

What might be interesting is if she dated them both, openly – I don’t think either would go for it, but I feel like it’s happened on television before.

That’s Kappa Alpha Order, my friend :)

Sorry; and no offense intended.

Does that mean that “Order” is a Greek letter, or just a differentiatior from “Society”?

I had to figure out some health care thing and missed the last 20 minutes. Honestly it was written in an unearthly language based on preschool English. God bless America!

I had a Greek dream, and no Jordan didn’t die there either. All she was doing was playing Wave Race for the Gamecube on the Wii. lol Rusty had to take the game away, and then I stole it from him. The school was also near the beach, and Calvin was naked.

You’re a sick person. :-)

What?! lol

Oddly Jordan, Rusty, and Calvin were the only ones from the show. haha

Okay, we can work with that … maybe you were dreaming about art class. Reasonable, right?

Otherwise, I think maybe it’s time for some quiet corner time. :-)
