FOX sent my prescription for House

House press kit

… in the form of the above pictured press kit. FOX is well known for sending some of the most elaborate press kits for new and returning shows, and the one for House was no exception. Alright, so it’s pretty strange to have a bunch of pencils because, really, who besides elementary school kids, scientists and backwoodsmen use wooden pencils anymore?

I particularly love that the promoters were detailed enough to include the pharmacy bag, a receipt (stapled to the bag) and my name on the “bottle.” Anyway, I thought this was cool enough to share with y’all.

House returns September 21st at 8 PM EST on FOX (check our handy-dandy guide and calendar for more premiere dates!) … except for the McDuffee household, where we’ll be taking in the premiere tonight. Check for a preview post soon.

I’m neither a school kid, scientist or backwoodsman (or woman, for that matter), and pencil is my writing implement of choice. It’s cheap, easily removeable, yet isn’t water soluble and doesn’t fade, bleed or smear. Seriously, dude, don’t knock the pencil!

Um… scientists have to use pen these days. Lab notebooks are legal documents, and as such, have to be in ink, no erasing allowed. Guess that just leaves kids… and people too afraid to do the crossword puzzle in pen.

Ah, but Reading Recovery teachers champion the pencil, the only writing implement for them! :-)
