Bill Buchanan and Keith Charles show up on Private Practice

james_morrison_mathew_st_patrick1Forget the storylines on this week’s episode of Private Practice. It was all about the guest stars. Gee, if they keep landing people like this, I just might have to keep tuning in.

The first was James Morrison, a.k.a. Bill Buchanan on 24. Man, is he hot with that white mane and buff bod. And his storyline — wooing Naomi into partnering with him on a state-of-the-art practice — is interesting, though not kick-in-the-pants awesome or anything.

Then again, the little tidbit we learned at the end of the episodeĀ  — that he’s also the silent partner in Charlotte’s practice on the fourth floor — puts a different spin on things. If Naomi goes for it, then I’m guessing both practices would be merged into one. So we’d have Addison’s hot doctor Noah and Violet’s possible-baby-daddy Sheldon all working together with the Oceanside Wellness docs.

Now THAT could heat things up a bit (even though whaddaya bet Naomi signs on the dotted line unaware that Charlotte’s practice is involved). Anyway, maybe the writers are realizing they can only tell the same tragic, ripped-from-the-headlines stories over and over so long before viewers tune out and watch Harper’s Island instead.

The second guest star was Mathew St. Patrick, a.k.a. Keith Charles, David Fisher’s gay lover on Six Feet Under (be sure to check out Bob Degon’s Diary of a Six Feet Under Virgin). This being one of my favorite shows in the history of the universe, I actually gasped when I saw St. Patrick and his soulful eyes on Private Practice.

Never mind that he might have killed his brother in order to use his heart to save his brother’s unborn baby and wife, with whom St. Patrick’s character is in love. Who cares?! Bring him back! On second thought, give St. Patrick his own show, please. Thank you.

I guess I read the stuff with Morrison’s character (why can’t someone have updated IMDB yet to tell me the name?) completely different from you. I think that Naomi’s offer woulc have her completely living Oceanside. Possibly to TAKE OVER Charlotte’s clinic. I wouldn’t see anything merging.

That’s how I read the situation also. Naomi in and Charlotte out. That long hair on James Morrison threw me for a loop. I could not figure out who he was. I could hear his voice in my head and I knew he was someone. Thanks for the help, it was driving me crazy. I felt like an idiot when I saw the title of the post.
