The Tudor period is a fascinating time of history, and from what I hear, this series is a pretty good rendering of what it might really have been like, escaping from drily written history books!

I love the series, but I haven’t been able to afford the DVD. The only thing I don’t like about the show is the liberties they’ve taken with the real history, which is just as compelling as what they’ve done with it. Still, I love the costumes (I know, they’re inaccurate, too), and the acting is really good, and I follow up each new episode with an online romp to read about the real history.

I’m addicted to this show. Me and my mom watch it together every week… sometimes it’s awkward with all the sex scenes but it’s so worth it!
I didn’t get hooked on it until the 2nd season, I had to run out and buy the 1st season, so I Tudored all weekend to get caught up, I have about wore 1st season out, need 2nd season to occupy me til the 3rd season is on tv. I want to see Ann Bolyne get her head cut off again (though I will miss her next season). The Tudors is like Alcohol, it will consume you if you are not careful. It’s too late for me!
