TV SHOWS COLUMNS FEATURES CHATS QUESTIONS

TV on DVD – Oct. 21, 2008

Family Guy, Vol. 6. I’ll let my 14-year-old son do the talking here: “It’s the most funniest show I’ve ever seen.” (We’re still working on the grammar thing. Just take his word for it.) Buy it.

Also available: Family Guy – The Complete Collection (Stewie Head Packaging). Buy that. And Family Guy: Freakin’ Sweet Party Pack, which features a groovy box with Peter on the front in fishnets and tassels (pictured). Buy that.

Dynasty: Season 3, Vol. 2. I confess I craved the catfights when this show aired originally. Not a fan of splitting seasons, though (What’s up with that? More money, I guess), but I’ll take it however I can get it. (Shut up, Clackers.) Buy it. Also available: Dynasty: Seasons 1-3. Buy that.

According to Jim: The Complete First Season. You’ll all be running out to buy this, right? I really do like Jim Belushi. There’s just something goofy about him. I hate Courtney Thorne-Smith, though, because she’s a size -2. You know the rest of you girls agree with me. Buy It.

The Man From U.N.C.L.E. – The Complete Series. I’m completely bowled over by this DVD set, not only because I’m a fan of Napoleon and Illya, but also because it comes in a super-cool silver briefcase-type box. Includes all 4 seasons and 10+ hours of special features. Buy it.

Looney Tunes: Golden Collection, Vol. 6. Check out the first comment on Amazon to see the massive amounts of LTs included on this set. Buy it. Also available: Looney Tunes: Spotlight Collection, Vol. 6. Buy that.

Knight Rider: The Complete Series. Now that the new Knight Rider has been picked up for another season, I guess there might be a resurgence for the Hoff’s original version. Buy it.

The Naked Brothers Band: Season 2. Ack! Nat and Alex are growing up, and Rosalina, too. The County Fair and a Bar Mitzvah figure into this season. Sure, it’s for kids, but I know more adults than kids who like this series. Not sure what that says about my friends. Buy it.
