This is such an incredible show, probably one of the best (and certainly most stylish) on TV right now. And that the book and music were used on the show make them all that much more special, too.
I would love this because it truly is the best show on TV yet none of my friends have ever seen it.

I’d love to own the season because while I love the show, my husband (who is in advertising) hasn’t seen a single episode. This would be a great way to get him hooked.
Additionally, I have a great time watching the brands – from what they drink and smoke to what they pitch. It’s fantastic!

I have resisted for years any temptation of “appointment television” as I just don’t want to be sitting in front of a TV like a dog waiting for a bone at the appointed time. No time for such.
But where am I every Sunday at 10pm? Addicted, sitting in front of the tube waiting for those opening notes and the falling silhouette.
Really, I hadn’t liked this season quite as well until last Sunday’s “The Mountain King” episode. It was great, all the way through.

Of the three items, I’d put Frank O’Hara’s book of poetry at the top of the list, because what little I’ve experienced of it does what art is supposed to do — hit you with something unexpected and make you want more. I’d put the DVD at second place, in relative terms, because I’d like to SEE more of the show’s settings and visual cleverness. The sound track I guess pulls in last, because SOMEthing has to, even though the challenge of listening while peopling your own mental “set” has its own attraction too…
The book of poetry, because you can take THAT with you anywhere, no batteries required. And because life comes at you sometimes in unexpected ways, so if it lives up to its title, very cool — and if it doesn’t, well that works too.
