This week, we have casting news for the following TV series: Army Wives, Boston Legal, Damages, Desperate Housewives, Eli Stone, Ghost Whisperer, Greek, iCarly, Private Practice, Pushing Daisies, Reaper, The New Adventures of Old Christine, The Office and Worst Week.

  • Crossing Jordan‘s Ivan Sergei will appear in the season finale of Army Wives as one of Betty’s long-lost nephews. The character is set to make waves with Roxy. [Source: TV Guide Online]
  • René Auberjonois will return for episode 10 of Boston Legal this fall. [Source: The Ausiello Files]
  • Get this, Zeljko Ivanek, whose character shot himself in season one of Damages, will return for several episodes in season two! [Source: The Ausiello Files]
  • Steven Weber will guest star in at least one episode of Desperate Housewives. He’ll play a college professor who is dating one of the female characters. [Source: The Ausiello Files]
  • Rachael Harris will play a reporter interviewing Bree in a Desperate Housewives set to air in November. [Source: The Ausiello Files]
  • Kerr Smith, better known for his role on Dawson’s Creek, will guest star as one of Posner’s hard-core legal eagles on Eli Stone. [Source: TV Guide Online]
  • The Guiding Light‘s Tom Pelphrey will guest star in the October 17 episode of Ghost Whisperer. [Source: Mega Buzz]
  • Actor/singer/songwriter Jesse McCartney is set to join ABC Family’s Greek in a recurring capacity. He’ll play one of Calvin’s old friends Andy, a freshman job who’ll be torn with rushing for the KT and OX houses. McCartney’s first episode on the show will air in 2009. [Source: The Ausiello Files]
  • Ken Marino, who appeared on The CW’s Reaper last season, will guest star on Greek as a summer camp counselor. [Source: Zap2It]

  • ER‘s Ming Na will appear in Private Practice‘s fifth episode. In the installment, the actress will play one of Violet’s friends. [Source: TV Guide Online]
  • Orlando Jones, Michael Weaver and Ivana Milicevic will guest star as band of Norwegian detectives who bear striking similarities to Pushing Daisies‘ Emerson, Ned and Chuck. [Source: The Ausiello Files]

  • Will & Grace‘s Megan Mullally will play a homophobe who owns Christine’s gym in a November episode of The New Adventures of Old Christine. [Source: The Ausiello Files]
  • There are plans to bring David Denman back as Roy for one of the next five episodes of The Office. [Source: Watch With Kristin]
  • Academy Award winner Olympia Dukakis will guest star as Melanie’s paternal grandmother, June Clayton, in an upcoming episode of CBS’s Worst Week. [Source: CBS via The Futon Critic]

Thanks for the Worst Week casting scoop. I have not laughed this hard at television in years and years. Picking two more dead-pan dry types will only add to my enjoyment. I can imagine Olympia’s lines now. Yay!!
